EPA Proposed Emission Standards for Shipbuilding/Repair and Wood Furniture Manufacturing

EPA has proposed how it will address residual risk and technology reviews conducted for Shipbuilding and Ship Repair (Surface Coating) and Wood Furniture Manufacturing Operations, two industrial source categories regulated by separate national emission standards for hazardous air pollutants. It also proposes to address provisions related to emissions during periods of startup, shutdown, and malfunction. Comments are due February 22, 2011. If anyone contacts EPA requesting to speak at a public hearing by January 5, 2011, a public hearing will be held on January 20, 2011.
