The Healthcare Practice Specialty numbers nearly 1,000 members and serves the broad and comprehensive healthcare field, from safety, health and environmental (SH&E) professionals who work in healthcare institutions, such as hospitals and nursing homes, to those who provide services to the healthcare industry.

For fifteen years, the Healthcare Practice Specialty has served as a primary resource for SH&E professionals in the healthcare industry. We provide insight into professional practice issues, highlight safety and health management techniques, share experience and knowledge and offer practical applications for current best practices. Our Advisory Committee uses its networking forum as a technical resource and reference body, identifies and promotes research in emerging healthcare safety technologies and develops specialized healthcare safety education programs and technical publications.
