The Environmental Practice Specialty (EnvPS) focuses on issues such as environmental management, water and air quality, solid and hazardous waste, emergency planning and response practices, chemicals and toxicology, legislative and regulatory monitoring, and expert testimony and resources. EnvPS routinely surveys its members for their input on OSHA and EPA legislation and on hot topics, such as hydrogen as an alternative fuel source and green practices in the workplace.
Happy Earth Day 2016
April 22 marks the 46th Earth Day. Earth Day is celebrated in many countries as a day in which we appreciate nature, and think about how to improve current and future human interactions with the natural environment and how to remedy legacy environmental problems. Earth Day is celebrated in many communities with fairs and festivals where one can learn how to live sustainably, recycle, and minimize one’s impact on the planet with the emphasis on “Think global, act local”. From the Board of the Environmental Practice Specialty, we wish you a great Earth Day 2016.
