American Society of Safety Engineers’ Set Another Expo Record This Week in Las Vegas
Las Vegas, NV (June 10, 2008) — The American Society of Safety Engineers’ (ASSE) 2008 Exposition at the Las Vegas Convention Center has set a new record for the number of exhibitors and space sold, exceeding the record set in previous years in Orlando, Seattle, and New Orleans. The Exposition, held with the annual ASSE Professional Development Conference (PDC), runs from Monday, June 9 – Wednesday, June 11. The PDC, Safety 2008 which runs from June 9 – 12 features more than 200 educational sessions on new information involving all areas of occupational safety, health and the environment. A record number of attendees from 36 countries have registered to attend.
ASSE exhibitor square feet sold for the 2008 Las Vegas PDC and Exposition outpaced its record 57,950 sold in Orlando last year and 52,780 of square feet sold for the 2006 Seattle PDC and Exposition, selling 62,100 square feet this year. More than 400 companies are exhibiting at the Exposition including Fortune 500 companies, federal agencies, non-profit organizations like the American Red Cross and the American Heart Association, colleges and much more. Many are launching new products and providing interactive exhibits.
