Platform Statement

I have thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity and my time serving as Awards and Honors Chair and Publication Coordinator for the Utilities Branch, working with the members of the Advisory Committee, and continuing my service as Content Coordinator for the Utilities Practice Specialty (UPS). If elected it would be my privilege to serve as Assistant Administrator. As Assistant Administrator, focus areas would include:

  1. Ascertaining and providing guidance to the group in regards to resource capabilities, internal processes, and an ongoing measurement system to ensure our identified priorities yield measureable and sustainable results
  2. Relentlessly seeking, developing and implementing ways to maintain and grow UPS membership and membership involvement
  3. Continuously strive to ensure and improve value to the membership by employing outside the box thinking and the most recent technology available
  4. Actively engaging groups outside of UPS to identify, learn and implement best practices that would best serve our membership
  5. Developing and implementing strategic marketing that communicates the group’s value both within and beyond the realm of Utilities safety
  6. Consistently seeking and valuing a diversity of perspectives, experiences and talents to promote learning, growth, and overall group performance
  7. Ensuring proper communication that articulates a clear vision and strategy of the groups long-term success

I bring a passion for safety as a value in our lives; not just as a business priority.  I couple this with 18 years of safety experience and a deep desire to serve and grow others at every opportunity. I am committed to fostering teamwork, developing effective partnerships and valuing diversity as we work together to achieve results.  I am very excited to have the opportunity to serve as the UPS Practice Specialty Assistant Administrator.
