Platform Statement

Chapters are one of the several ways ASSE members engage. We are all working much harder and have less time. Chapter affiliation has the benefit to offer members with opportunities to increase knowledge, build skills and networking. If reelected as Vice President, Council on Region Affairs I will continue to lead the Region Vice Presidents to seek new ideas, share best practices and to identify opportunities to streamline chapter operations to allow the Officers more time to dedicate toward improving member engagement.

My purpose for seeking reelection as Vice President, Council on Region Affairs is that we have been successful thus far including the addition of Region 9 (Global Region), incorporated Area Directors in almost all Regions for succession planning and to have more time face to face opportunities for our Chapter Officers, advocated for additional orientation for Officers to ease transition into new roles and identified opportunities to bring technology to Chapters to reach more members.  Collectively, we need to continue to challenge what we do to ensure that we are addressing member’s needs.

If elected to a second term as your Vice President, Council of Regional Affairs, I will build on the progress that we have made so far.  I will continue to support our Region leaders to increase opportunities to ensure chapter success and increase member value through enhanced educational and networking opportunities. I will also seek opportunities to cross-collaborate between the Councils to facilitate opportunities to engage and expose members to all that ASSE has to offer.  Thank you for allowing me to serve these past two years, it has been and continues to be an honor to work with so many dedicated safety professionals. Thank you for your support!
