Platform Statement

As a member of ASSE since 1993, I have seen firsthand the value of membership in both the national Society and local chapters of ASSE.

An effective local Chapter can offer safety professionals access to people and resources and help them build a solid network of colleagues who are experiencing the same opportunities and challenges in their workplaces and careers.

As health and safety professionals, we have an obligation to not only continue our own development for the betterment of the profession, but we also need to reach out to the next generation and transfer the knowledge and experiences we have gleaned. Through our student chapters, special interest groups, and mentoring programs, we need to communicate the value of membership of ASSE at a local, regional, and national level to help them grow and develop as well.

The Area Director serves as an important link between these two distinct but equally important aspects of ASSE. If elected Area Director for North Region III, I will work to provide support and assistance to the local chapters to ensure that our local chapters know about the resources available to them to achieve great success.
