ANSI/ASSE A10.6-2006– BACKGROUND MATERIALS

< Back

ASSE, as secretariat of the A10 ANSI Accredited Standards Committee (ASC) for Construction and Demolition Operations, has continued to receive a number of inquiries related to ANSI/ASSE A10.6-2006, Safety and Health Program Requirements for Demolition Operations.

Due to these inquiries, we have put together a “guide” for those with interest.

Title: Safety and Health Program Requirements for Demolition Operations

Scope: Applies to the demolition of buildings and other structures. This standard is intended to be complete in itself, except that any device, equipment and activity incidental to demolition operations shall be conducted, installed, inspected, maintained and operated in accordance with requirements in the American National Standards for Safety in Construction and Demolition Operations A10 Series, other American National Standards listed in Section 2 of this standard and other appropriate standards.

Past Versions of the Standard:

A10.6-2006 (Current Version)
A10.6-1998 (Reaffirmed)
A10.6-1990
A10.6-1983
A10.6-1969

ANSI approved the final version of the A10.6 standard on September 11, 2006. A project to revise the standard is planned for mid-2010.
