Public Citizen Says Safety Training Reduces Construction Injuries and Fatalities

A Public Citizen report  prepared to bolster efforts to pass a York City ordinance to ensure training for all construction workers on taxpayer-funded projects concludes that on-the-job safety training has been proven to reduce construction industry injuries and fatalities.  The report also estimates that the financial impact of fatal construction injuries to New York City in 2011 and 2012 was more than $180 million.
