Posted in on Tue, May 21, 2013

Along with various other agencies jockeying for priority in carrying out their investigations, the US Chemical Safety and Hazards Investigation Board (CSB) is in West, Texas, to investigate the explosion that took 15 lives.  Chairman Barbara Boxer (D-CA), Chairman of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works has addressed her concerns about the explosion to the CSB (http://www.epw.senate.gov/public/index.cfm?FuseAction=Majority.PressReleases&ContentRecord_id=5c5072de-0c95-6026-d673-4d5bae108ba2&Region_id=&Issue_id=).  CSB has created a Facebook page to help the public and the occupational safety and health community to keep up with developments in the case.  On Facebook, search for West Explosion or go to https://www.facebook.com/#!/WestExplosion?fref=ts.  More info on the incident can also be found at CSB’s website at http://www.csb.gov/us-chemical-safety-board-root-cause-investigation-of-west-explosion-continues/.
