ASSE TARGET TEEN WORK SAFETY TOOL KIT OVERVIEW

In 2008 about 2.3 million teens aged 15-17 worked in the U.S. That same year thousands of teens suffered on-the-job injuries serious enough to send them to the hospital and 34 youth under 18 died from work-related injuries. This American Society of Safety Engineers' new Target Teen Work Safety Tool Kit is an informative and interactive tool designed to educate young workers, parents and employers on important safety information, rules and regulations they need to know to stay safe at work. These resources, developed by the ASSE Public Relations Committee, are for ASSE members, student members, teachers and friends to present in classrooms, at scout meetings, community meetings and many other venues for reaching young workers. Users may print or download the components of the kit and use all or part of the materials for presentations and distribution. Information included in the kit. accessed through the tabs on the left, include:
