Region IV PDC a Success
ASSE’s Region IV recently wrapped up its 2011 PDC, held in Orlando, FL. Designed to provide new knowledge to meet the needs of SH&E professionals, the conference provided keynote speakers, educational sessions and an opportunity for members to network and meet new colleagues. The conference reportedly had a record number of registrants since its 2001 conference, and its events (silent auction and chapter night out) raised more than $4,000 toward endowing its scholarship.
Central Florida Chapter member Jennifer Zipeto says, “The great thing about a regional PDC is that you really have an opportunity to get to know your fellow participants, through the educational sessions, ice cream breaks, lunches and networking opportunities. And, even though the PDC was only 2 days, by the end of the second day, I felt that I knew almost everyone there and am looking forward to seeing my colleagues and new friends in Chicago in June!”
