Expanding on previous standards that largely speak to equipment manufacturers, the ANSI/ASSE Z359.2-2007, entitled “Minimum Requirements for a Comprehensive Managed Fall Protection Program,” details a systematic approach for fall protection management aimed at employers, qualified persons, and end users alike.
The hierarchical scope of Z359.2 serves as a critical reference for employers and safety professionals, addressing various levels of fall protection, including fall hazard elimination, passive fall protection, fall restraint, fall arrest and administration through planning and education. To effectively identify, evaluate, and eliminate fall hazards, employers must proactively develop and implement a comprehensive managed fall protective program that ensures personnel exposed to fall hazards are properly trained and the appropriate fall protection and rescue systems are in place.
In this webinar, Z359 Accredited Standards Committee Chairman and Z359.2 Subgroup Chair Randall Wingfield discusses the duties and responsibilities of program participants and implications of the Z359.2-2007 standard.
This virtual class will take place on Wednesday, May 21st, from 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM (CST).
