The Coming Workplace Shortage Crisis: Exploring the Future of Workers' Compensation

Wednesday, February 6, 2008 - 11am-12:00pm CST

Join CNA©'s Shari Falkenburg in a special RM/I sponsored webinar on the future of the workers’ compensation industry.

In this virtual classroom, you’ll explore how workforce shortages, redeployment of the military to civilian jobs and a more diverse workforce represent "shifts" for employers. You’ll also explore workplace business challenges facing employers before the injury occurs.

Session 2 – Risk Management – Working With A Changing Workforce

Beyond background checks, this session will also focus on the importance of cultural diversity – with an understanding that building a safety culture must take into account the needs of non-English speaking employees who work in hazardous professions. Finally, this session will look at the real financial effects of workers’ compensation premiums when using pre-loss risk management strategies.
