Why should every SH&E Professional be trained in Investigative Photography?

Many safety professionals are required to use photography as part of investigations and are called upon to testify to photography in legal proceedings. Understanding what it takes to be credible during a legal proceeding and gaining the skills needed to become competent in investigative photography are necessary for many SH&E professionals. On Wednesday, September 26, John Wenzel will present Investigative Photography for SH&E Professionals in an ASSE Webinar.

This session provides an introduction and overview of some of the strategies safety professionals can use to develop and exercise the skills necessary to be a competent investigative photographer. The following topics will be covered in this 90-minute presentation:

John Wenzel is the author of the recently released ASSE book, “Investigative Photography”. This book contains strategies the aspiring professional can use to develop and exercise the skills necessary to be a competent investigative photographer without having to spend years accumulating experience. Participants in the Webinar will receive a copy of the book along with the presentation, on-line recording and are eligible for .15 CEU upon completion of all requirements including polls, evaluations and assessments.

John Wenzel is a recognized expert in the field of Investigative Photography. He is the founder of Precision Image Photography Company (1999). He has testified to investigative photographs in hundreds of legal cases. Mr. Wenzel has served as an Occupational Safety and Health Compliance Officer and regional Supervisor with the State of Maryland. He has also served as a Senior Safety Specialist and Instructor for the United States Department of Defense and has taught at the University of Maryland Fire and Rescue Institute, Washington College, Harford Community College and several professional organizations. He currently teaches for Anne Arundel Community College and the US Department of Defense.
