Technical Audio Conference Call - March 21, 2007 - 11am-12:30pm CST

The ASSE Technical Audio Conference Series provides listeners with the most up to date information on issues that significantly impact the SH&E profession. On Wednesday, March 21, Jennifer Silk and Mary Frances Lowe will present “GHS: Global Harmonization of Labeling and Classification of Chemicals”.

Whether you are ready or not, the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS) is coming to the U.S.A. and will affect your Hazard Communication programs whether you are a manufacturer, importer, distributor, or end user. Now is the time to learn more about GHS – what it is, what it is not, and how it will change Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and your Hazard Communication (HAZCOM) Program and the impact on SH&E professionals.

Our audio conference call is scheduled for March 21, 2007. The conference call will start at 11:00 AM Central Standard Time (CST) and last 90 minutes. The presentation will last approximately 60 minutes and will be followed by approximately 30 minutes of questions and answers. For those participants unable to attend, ASSE will offer a recording of the call, which can be accessed at any time.

Speakers Mary Francis Lowe of the EPA Office Pesticide Programs, and Jennifer Silk, formerly Deputy Director, Directorate of Standards and Guidance, OSHA , will provide participants with an overview of GHS and its impact on all segments of the regulated community.
