ANSI/ASSE A10.10-1998(R2004)– BACKGROUND MATERIALS

ASSE, as secretariat of the A10 ANSI Accredited Standards Committee (ASC) for Construction and Demolition Operations, has continued to receive a number of inquiries related to the ANSI/ASSE A10.10-2004 American National Standard Safety Requirements for Temporary and Portable Space Heating Devices and Equipment.

Due to these inquiries we have put together a “guide” for those with interest.

Title: Safety Requirements for Temporary and Portable Space Heating Devices

Scope: Provides minimum safety requirements for the selection, installation, operation and maintenance of space heating devices and equipment of temporary and portable design. Covers the heater unit and its integral parts through to their connection for fuel, but does not cover separate supply tanks or valving.
