Dear Secretary Chao:

The American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE), on behalf of its 30,000 member safety, health and environmental professionals, respectfully asks that Michael W. Hayslip, Esq., PE, CSP, be considered for reappointment as a public representative to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s Advisory Committee for Construction Safety and Health (ACCSH).

Mr. Hayslip is a member in good standing of ASSE and a respected leader active in helping advance construction safety issues within ASSE, among safety and health professionals, and within the construction industry. Mr. Hayslip is currently a member of ASSE’s Board of Directors, elected to that position by his fellow members. He has also served on ASSE’s Government Affairs Committee, where he was highly engaged in a variety of public policy issues impacting safety and health. As his current service to ACCSH has demonstrated, Mr. Hayslip has the necessary commitment, wide-ranging expertise and educational background to serve the public’s interest on ACCSH.

Thank you for this opportunity to voice support for this highly qualified individual.

Sincerely,

Donald S. Jones, Sr., CSP, PE
President
