Every year the American Society of Safety Engineers honors exemplary achievement in the safety profession through the presentation of Society Awards at its annual Professional Development Conference. These awards constitute the highest honors in the profession, and include the Honor of Fellow, the Edgar Monsanto Queeny Safety Professional of the Year, and the Outstanding Safety Educator Award. Recipients of these awards are leaders who have demonstrated commitment to professionalism, driven innovation in the occupational safety and health field, and taken time away from their busy lives to strengthen and foster the safety profession through their voluntarism at ASSE.
