Darren Alexander is a safety engineer in Fort Worth, TX for Lockheed Martin Aeronautics, a U.S. Department of Defense contractor that manufactures fighter jets. His primary responsibilities include accident prevention investigations, machine guarding, personal protective equipment, contractor safety and fall protection.
Alexander attended Northeastern State University where he received bachelor of science degrees in both safety management and environmental management. He holds an associate of applied science degree in design drafting technology and plans to take the ASP/CSP examinations.
Previously, Alexander was an ASSE student member who, after attending a Future Safety Leaders Conference (FSLC), helped start a local student section at his university. In Spring 2004, he served as President of the Northeastern State University Student Section and in the fall, he served as Student Section Treasurer.
Alexander has been a member of the FSLC Task Force for the 2007 and 2008 conferences. He has been a member of ASSE’s Fort Worth Chapter since 2005, and he is also a member of the American Indian Science and Engineering Society.
