Thank you for your interest in Women in Safety Engineering (WISE). WISE has been established to foster the advancement of women in the safety, health and environmental (SH&E) profession through the objectives contained in WISE’s mission statement.

  1. WISE Body of Knowledge: This area will focus on book reviews, feedback on web links, videos and other information of interest to women in safety.

  2. WISE Mentoring Program: This will consist of your participation in a mentoring program, possibly in partnership with BCSP and other engineering organizations.

  3. WISE Newsletter & Publications: This group will foster communication within the group through online newsletters and other publications.

  4. WISE Membership: This will consist of your participation in a safety engineering recruiting program, possibly hosted by your local university or association.

  5. Annual ASSE Professional Development Conference (PDC): WISE will sponsor events at the PDC. If you would like to present a paper or to help coordinate networking events, contact Adele Abrams.

  7. WISE PDC Subcommittee Chair: Kathy McNeese.
