Distracted Driving Subcommittee
Summary
The Transportation Practice Specialty (TPS) began as the Transportation Division in 1996. TPS encompasses all modes of transportation, such as ground, air, fleet, rail and maritime, and monitors legislative and regulatory issues within the transportation industry. TPS has always provided its members with valuable professional development opportunities. Since its formation, TPS has sponsored sessions at ASSE's annual Professional Development Conference and also participated in ASSE symposia. TPS's triannual electronic newsletter, TransActions, regularly features articles on cutting-edge issues, such as distracted driving and regulatory updates. The group meets regularly via teleconference and has one face-to-face meeting at the annual professional development conference in June.
