Well-Informed—Our Practice Specialty publishes a tri-annual newsletter that includes timely articles on issues affecting SH&E professionals in the oil and gas industry. Article submission is encouraged. For more information, contact Krista Sonneson.
Oil & Gas Practice Specialty Website—This website contains links to many topics. Additional information found on the website includes Professional Development Conference (PDC) information, committee activities, current projects and volunteer requests. The Oil & Gas Practice Specialty welcomes your involvement in these projects and committees. For more information or if you would like to become our Web Chair, please contact Michael Farris.
PDC Events—We sponsor pre- and post-conference seminars and sessions. The presentations we intend to provide during general sessions will increase in number and in attendance each year. Members and other interested parties are invited to attend our Advisory Committee meeting, which will take place during the PDC.
Oil & Gas Practice Specialty Advisory Committee—Our Advisory Committee is a group of dedicated professionals who give direction to the Practice Specialty. They meet regularly to discuss goal setting, assign responsibilities and approve actions. Current projects include the ongoing development of an oil and gas Body of Knowledge, website expansion, newsletter content and outreach to other professional associations. Your participation in projects, committees and events will not only help us reach our goals, but will provide you with invaluable experience and contacts as you grow with the SH&E profession.
