CoPS Awards Winners

History of CoPS Awards
Safety Professional of the Year (SPY) Awards for each of the Practice Specialties (formerly divisions) have been distributed since the early 1970s. These awards were established to recognize select Practice Specialty members who have helped advance the occupational safety, health and environmental profession through exemplary volunteer service to the Society and to their respective Practice Specialty or Branch during the ASSE calendar year. The awards are presented during ASSE's annual professional development conference.

The Council on Practices and Standards (CoPS) also recognizes an All-CoPS SPY Award winner each year.

Eligibility
Any Practice Specialty or Branch member may be considered for a SPY Award. However, to be nominated for a Practice Specialty or Branch SPY Award, you must be a member of that particular Practice Specialty or Branch.
