Randall Wingfield
Randall Wingfield has served as Chair of the Z359 Accredited Standards Committee for Fall Arrest and Protection since 2005 and also chairs three different Z359 subcommittees. During the last several years, he and his company, Gravitec Systems Inc., donated more than 200 hours to the development of ASSE’s first Code—the Z359 Fall Protection Code.
Since its release in 2007, the Code has helped employers nationwide better protect workers at height from falls, one of the leading causes of occupational injuries and fatalities. Gravitec has conducted significant research on fall safety factors, multiplier tests and harness construction to help reduce and eliminate fall injuries and fatalities, including significant company support and promotion of the use of the Z359 Fall Protection Code.
Wingfield is also an active ASSE member and past Culbertson Award winner who has presented at many professional development conferences, written practice specialty newsletter and Professional Safety journal articles and served as guest speaker for several ASSE webinars.
