Jeffery Camplin
Jeffery Camplin, CSP, CPEA, is President of Camplin Environmental Services Inc. in Rosemont, IL. He oversees the day-to-day operations of a full-service safety and environmental consulting firm. His company provides OSHA audits, OSHA program development and training, safety program development and enhancements, indoor air quality services, asbestos and lead-paint abatement consulting and environmental auditing. Camplin also provides training as an OSHA outreach instructor and as an EPA-accredited asbestos and lead-paint abatement instructor.
Camplin joined ASSE as a student member in 1983, and he has been a professional member of ASSE since 1991. In 2000, he was elected as Assistant Administrator of the Environmental Practice Specialty (EPS), a position he held for two terms. In 2004, Camplin was elected as EPS Administrator, and he completed his second term in 2008.
In 2003, he became a member of ASSE’s Editorial Review Board for Professional Safety, on which he is serving a second term. He is also Vice Chair of the Council on Practices & Standards (CoPS) and has been Chair of the CoPS Website Task Force since its inception in 2002.
Camplin was named EPS Safety Professional of the Year and received ASSE’s President’s Award in 2003. He received the Culbertson Outstanding Volunteer Service Award in 2005, and he has received several special recognition awards from CoPS.
Earlier in 2008, Camplin received the President’s Service Volunteer Award for his service as a volunteer safety officer on the Illinois Emergency Response Team.
He holds a bachelor of science degree in safety from Northern Illinois University.
