Des Plaines, IL (January 23, 2006) —‘Transportation Safety and Security-Related Issues in Today’s Challenging Environment’ is the focus of the American Society of Safety Engineers’ (ASSE) Audio Conference held February 7 from 11 AM-12:30 PM CST. The one-way call will provide occupational safety, health and environmental professionals and employers with guidelines and best practices on transportation safety, regulatory compliance and legislation, security concerns and much more.
The Audio Conference will feature ASSE Transportation Practice Specialty administrator Bobbie Athey, and fellow ASSE members Carmen Daecher and Paul Tamburelli. Athey serves as chief health and safety officer for Metropolitan Transportation Authority - Bridges and Tunnels, which is responsible for the safety, health and environmental programs for approximately 1800 employees, operating seven bridges and two tunnels in metropolitan New York City, ASSE serves as secretariat of the Z15 Accredited Standards Committee on Safety Requirements for Motor Vehicle Fleet Operations, which is chaired by Daecher, president of the Daecher Consulting Group, Inc. in Camp Hill, PA. Tamburelli serves as vice president of Safety and Risk Management for Huttig Building Products, and he has over 27 years experience in risk management and safety with a focus in loss control.
Registrants will receive access to the Audio Conference, a PowerPoint presentation, several transportation safety articles, and have a chance to e-mail questions to the speakers during the call.
