DES PLAINES, IL (July 10, 2000) -- Michigan-based Summit Training Source Inc. awarded a $25,000 grant to the American Society of Safety Engineers' (ASSE) Foundation today to support research grants, educational programs, and scholarships aimed at supporting the advancement and continued growth of the safety profession.

Summit joins the ranks of other corporate donors which are committed to workplace safety and education by supporting the ASSE Foundation. The grant will be put toward many of the Foundation's programs which will increase the public's safety through programs such as the Academic Scholarships for college graduates and undergraduates, and the Research Fellowship awards for graduate students and faculty members. Jacobson, CSP, said today. "We commend Summit Training for their continued efforts to promote workplace safety and health, and for giving many the opportunity to continue their education research. This benefits everyone."
