SUMMIT TRAINING SOURCE PRESENTS DONATION TO ASSE FOUNDATION

DES PLAINES, IL (September 10, 2002) - The American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) Foundation recently received a $6,250 donation from Summit Training Source Inc. for educational programs in the occupational safety and health field. Over the past three years Summit has donated a total of $18,750 to the Foundation as part of a $25,000 commitment. The funds have been used toward scholarships and research grants, as well as the Foundation's Career Guide, a publication on the safety profession requested by students around the globe.

"Summit has helped make a significant difference in occupational safety and health through its donations to the ASSE Foundation, from helping increase student awareness of the profession to funding scholarships and research grants," said Karl A. Jacobson, ASSE Foundation Chair.

In addition, the ASSE Foundation trustees appointed Summit founder and president Valerie Overheul, of Grand Rapids, MI, as a trustee member this past July.
