DES PLAINES, ILLINOIS (February 1, 2002) - Based in El Paso, TX, the Paso Del Norte Chapter of the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) recently donated $250 to the "America Responds Fund" as a tribute to the ASSE members whose lives were lost in the September 11th attacks. The memorial scholarship, established by the ASSE Foundation, was set up to honor their dedication to occupational safety, health and the environment and will be given to occupational health and safety students. Over $4,500 has been raised for this fund since September.

The Foundation is accepting donations for this scholarship from members, chapters, regions, corporations or any individual who would like to honor the memory of the fallen ASSE members.
