WISCONSIN RESIDENTS MAKE DONATION IN MEMORY OF LOST MEMBERS

DES PLAINES, ILLINOIS (November 5, 2001) - Honoring members lost in the September 11th tragedy, the Nicolet Chapter of the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE), based in Greenbay, WI, donated $100 to the "America Responds Fund." Established by the ASSE Foundation, the memorial scholarship was set up in memory of those who dedicated their lives to occupational safety, health and the environment and were victims of the September 11th attacks.

Each year the Foundation awards funds for applied safety research, scholarships, fellowships, internships and professional development. Founded in 1911 and celebrating its 90th anniversary, ASSE is the oldest and largest professional safety and health organization and is dedicated to protecting people, property and the environment. Its over 30,000 members manage, supervise, and consult on safety, health and environmental issues in industry, insurance, government and education.
