Summit Training Source Continues Support Of Safety And Health Education Through New Donation To The American Society of Safety Engineers Foundation
Des Plaines, IL (January 17, 2008) — In support of research and education in the occupational safety, health and the environmental (SH&E) field, the Grand Rapids, MI-based Summit Training Source Inc. recently contributed $5,000 to the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) Foundation, bringing the company’s total contributions to $40,000 since 2000.

ASSE Foundation Chair Cynthia L. Roth, COHN, said, “We are grateful to Summit for its continued commitment to and support of the advancement of the SH&E profession through ASSE Foundation programs providing college scholarships, research funding and professional development grants.”

ASSE Foundation Board of Trustees member Valerie Overheul is the founder and president of Summit. Over the years, Overheul has been committed to supporting such programs as scholarships, research and the Foundation's Career Guide, a publication on the SH&E profession requested by students around the globe.
