American Society of Safety Engineers Foundation Welcomes Fay Feeney of California To Board of Trustees
Des Plaines, IL (April 15, 2008) — The American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) Board of Directors recently approved the nomination of Fay Feeney, CSP, ARM of Hermosa Beach, CA, to serve as ASSE Foundation Trustee. She will begin her three-year term on July 1, 2008.

Feeney serves as the Principal of Envision Strategic Group. After 20 years working with Fortune 100 clients in the loss prevention and engineering department of Travelers Insurance, Feeney launched Envision Strategic Group to provide risk management and human resource services to businesses seeking to enhance their operational excellence and actively manage their business risk. Her practice includes worldwide manufacturers, arts and entertainment, hospitality, and golf industries. She recently expanded her practice to help executives and their board of directors “Go Green” to improve their profitability and social responsibility.

Feeney received her B.S. in Health Sciences and Safety from San Diego State University and is a graduate of UCLA/NAWBO LA’s PEAK Leadership Academy. An ASSE professional member for 25 years, Feeney has served as Administrator of the Risk Management Practice Specialty and co-founded the ASSE Hospitality Branch of the Management Practice Specialty. She serves on the ASSE Foundation’s Legacy Committee and is also a Legacy Donor. She was recognized for her service to ASSE with the Charles V. Culbertson Outstanding Volunteer Service Award.

Her goals and interests as a member of the Board of Trustees include expanding the Foundation Legacy program, providing stewardship to corporations that support the Foundation and focusing on new contributions from Fortune 100 companies.”

Committed to volunteerism, Feeney also serves as chair for Housing and Real Estate for the Alcott Center for Mental Health Services and is on the advisory committee for Boardroom Bound; an organization dedicated to promoting diversity candidates for corporate board appointments. Feeney also serves as CEO appointee of the Los Angeles County Risk Management Advisory Committee. In 2007 Feeney was named Woman of the Year for the Manhattan Beach Chamber of Commerce Women in Business Committee and Workplace HR & Safety Magazine “Who’s Who” in the safety industry.
