ASSE’s SeminarFest 2017 To Help Safety Professionals Enhance Their Skills

Park Ridge, Illinois – (September 6, 2016) – Occupational safety and health professionals looking to get ahead of the latest industry trends, prepare themselves for the adoption of the next global safety management system, or build on their professional certifications will be impressed with the content and experts lined up for the American Society of Safety Engineers’ SeminarFest 2017.

SeminarFest boasts more than 90 in-depth seminars in managerial, leadership, technical and skill building topics. More than 1,000 OSH professionals are expected at the event from February 9-16, 2017 at the Rio Hotel in Las Vegas. To register, visit http://seminarfest.asse.org.

ASSE will debut its new certificate program for the ISO 45001 Standard for an Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems Standard (http://iso45001.asse.org/news.php).  One of the requirements for this program is a two-day seminar that can be completed at the conference, said Trudy Goldman, ASSE senior manager for Education and Program Development.

Additionally, ASSE’s Executive Program has added new content delving deeper into such topics as Contemporary Safety Management Methods, Influential Leadership Strategies and Successful Implementation of New Safety Management Concepts in Your Organization, and Learning Objectives.

“Safety management has evolved with many new concepts influencing the way safety is being delivered,” Goldman said. “Recognizing the great strides in safety management, ASSE wanted to include these topics within the program.”  

Safety certificate programs offered at Seminarfest include Risk Assessment, Safety Management and Global Safety Management.  SeminarFest also will offer certification preparation workshops on the ASP, CSP, CHST, OHST, STS, CHMM and CET exams.
