Dennis Hudson Honored With IOSH President’s Distinguished Service Certificate

OSHA Recordkeeping Deadline Pushed to Dec. 15

In a notice issued on Nov. 24, OSHA extended its injury reporting deadline initially set for Dec. 1 by two weeks. The new deadline is Dec. 15. Extending the deadline will allow employers the full four-month reporting window originally intended when the agency updated injury and illness record keeping regulation in May 2016.

OSHA Extends Crane Certification Date By 1 Year

OSHA issued a final rule on Nov. 9, 2017, extending the requirements for construction employers to comply with its crane operator certification rule until Nov. 10, 2018. The agency also announced plans to complete a rulemaking on the issues surrounding the crane operator certification program in the coming year.
