National Association of Tower Erectors (NATE) shares an overview of ANSI/ASSE A10.48-2016, Criteria for Safety Practices with the Construction, Demolition, Modification and Maintenance of Communication Structures, in its latest Climber Connection video. The standard has been called a game-changer and transformative because it encompasses the entire tower construction, service and maintenance industry.

The video also offers insight on gin poles and rigging class guidelines, which A10.48 covers in depth. “This video is an outstanding resource for companies and workers,” says Josh Forrester of Vertical Limit Construction LLC in Wanamingo, MN. “Embracing and implementing the A10.48 standard into daily tower activities will enhance the culture of safety in the industry.”

Also be sure to read our interview with NATE’s Todd Schlekeway.
