Safety Matters to Erike Young from Region I

Region I RVP Erike Young uses Crowdrise to generate funds for research, scholarships and the future.

“In Region I, we are often the trend setters and this fundraising effort is no different,” says Erike. “Let’s show the other regions how it’s done.”

Donate to the ASSE Foundation at Crowdrise and share with friends and family via your social networking sites. All the proceeds will help the ASSE Foundation continue to conduct research, award scholarships and build leaders to further workplace safety.

There are two ways to support the ASSE Foundation:

1. Donate

Via one of the fundraisers set up by your peers. Help your Region I colleagues reach their fundraising goals by donating to their personal campaigns. Or, share their fundraisers with your networks to spread the word. Foundation supporters are offering to hold study groups, sing songs, perform volunteer services and more.

FUNDRAISERS INCLUDE

FUNDRAISER: CSP Study Group
CREATOR: Erike Young

So you want to get your CSP, but overwhelmed by where to start....too many books to read, no classes offered near you or don't fit your schedule.  Based on the successful ARM Study Group (www.armstudygroup.com), I will develop a virtual CSP Study Group that will be free to ASSE members in Region I if you can help me reach my goal of raising $5,000 for the ASSE Foundation.

FUNDRAISER: Region I Polar Bear Club
CREATOR: Erike Young

Help Erike support the ASSE Foundation while having a little bit of fun at the next ROC meeting in Anchorage, AK.    Let's show the other regions how it is done.  If I can raise $350, I will run around the block of the hotel just wearing shorts and shoes. While this may seem pretty easy, please keep in mind the temperature during our stay is expected to be around 33 degrees.

2. Fundraise – Join an Existing Fundraiser or Start Your Own

Be part of a team and join an existing fundraiser. You can help anyone reach his goal by being a part of a campaign and raising funds on your own. Join any of your colleagues’ fundraisers by simply going to any page and clicking the “FUNDRAISE FOR THIS CAMPAIGN” button. You can edit your personal page for the campaign, run the fundraiser how you’d like, share with everyone you know, and track the donations you bring in.

Or start your own fundraiser, your goals, your rules. Support Safety Matters your way. You can even join events such as marathons or other challenges hosted on Crowdrise and donate your earnings to the program of your choice. Support Safety Matters and take creative control.

However you Crowdrise, know that you are playing an integral part in growing the future of the profession. With your support, the Foundation can expand the number of scholarships and grants we award, the scope of the research we support, and the reach of our leadership development programs. If safety matters to you, join the Foundation and Region I at Crowdrise before this campaign ends on May 10!
