Ohio University American Society of Safety Engineers’ Student Section to Celebrate New Charter
Des Plaines, IL (March 3, 2010) — WHAT: The American Society of Safety Engineers’ (ASSE) Ohio University (OU) student chapter will be host to a celebration of the receipt of its student charter, Friday, March 12, 2010, from the American Society of Safety Engineers. Students, ASSE chapter members and section leaders have been working toward the charter for several years. The event will be held in Ballroom A, located on the fourth floor of Baker University Center.

WHY: This event is being held to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of OU Environmental Health and Industrial Hygiene students who successfully received the OU American Society of Safety Engineers’ student charter. A meet and greet will be followed by a catered dinner at Baker University Center. Featured speakers will be ASSE Region VII Vice President Stephanie Helgerman; President of the Central Ohio Chapter Joe Cicero, and long-time ASSE member and OU Student Section Advisor and professor, Helmut Paschold.
