Guardian Fall Protection Partners with OSRAM to Provide 16 Hour Competent Person Training
Des Plaines, IL (October 25, 2010) — American Society of Safety Engineers’ (ASSE) members, in conjunction with Guardian Fall Protection & Safety Today and OSRAM Sylvania, will provide a 16 hour Competent Person Training course November 9-November 10, in Hillsboro, NH. Supported by ASSE’s Granite State Chapter, this training course will provide valuable information and is designed specifically for superintendents, and managers of authorized persons or individuals working at height.
This competent person fall protection training course will focus on fall protection system analysis, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Z359.2 standard regulations, fall hazard elimination, equipment inspection and passive fall protection systems. It will also include information about fall restraint systems, varieties of fall arrest systems, fall protection rescue procedures, selection and use of non-certified anchorages, as well as competent person role and duties.
The course will take place at OSRAM, located at 275 W. Main Street in Hillsboro, NH. The registration fee is $500.00 per person and includes all portions of the two-day course.
