ASSE’s Hawkeye Chapter To Host Local Professional Development Conference
WHAT: The American Society of Safety Engineers’ (ASSE) Hawkeye Chapter will host its annual local professional development conference (PDC) on Thursday, May 12, 2011. The conference will feature sessions on the latest topics in the safety, health and environmental field and will provide attendees with valuable information and networking opportunities.

WHY: In an effort to provide continuing education opportunities and information about the latest trends in the occupational safety, health and environmental field, the ASSE Hawkeye Chapter will host their annual PDC for local safety and health professionals. With multiple sessions to choose from, attendees can choose those that best meet their interests and can earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for their attendance. There will be a vendor show during conference breaks and opportunities for networking with other professional colleagues. Attendees will choose from a variety of session topics, including communicating body language, fall protection, a 2011 transportation update, fundamentals of safety leadership, a 2011 OSHA update, contractor safety, spill control and containment, and the safety coach approach at the end of the day.
ASSE members who register before May 8th will receive an early registration fee price of $75 and non-members who register by the 8th will receive an early registration fee of $120. If registering after May 8th, ASSE member cost is $95 and cost to non-members is $125.
