ASSE’s Central Florida Chapter to Host Free Ergonomics Workshop
WHAT: The American Society of Safety Engineers’ (ASSE) Central Florida Chapter will host a free ergonomics workshop on June 6, 2011 in support of the Central Florida Chapter’s ergonomics alliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

WHY: In an effort to provide continuing education opportunities and information about the latest trends in the occupational safety, health and environmental field, the ASSE Central Florida Chapter is providing a free ergonomics workshop in support of the chapter’s ergonomics alliance with OSHA. The free, four-hour workshop will explore the growing field of interest surrounding ergonomics and will allow attendees to earn 0.3 continuing education units (CEU) for attendance and 0.5 ABIH CM points. Speakers include Joan Spencer, an OSHA Compliance Assistant Specialist for the Tampa area office; Ron Porter, Director of the Back School of Atlanta; and Dr. Jon French, Professor and Director of Research for Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. All are welcome to register for the free workshop, co-sponsored by Alpha-Omega Training and Compliance.
