Deloitte’s Miles Ewing tells Am.Soc.ofSafetyEngineers Boston Symp audience ‘id what matters’ for safety/bus models
Miles Ewing, Principal of Deloitte Consulting, LLP, of Seattle, WA, opened the two-day ASSE symposium in Boston by providing an integral overview of indicator selection methodology in providing shareholder value in business models and tasked attendees to do the same when it comes to safety. When it comes to scientifically identifying the leading indicators for safety he said you have to look at and id the most important variables (pick what matters the most); know the indicators through data analysis; and know how to make management listen by communicating in their language.
The two-day symposium touches upon all of those issues. Go to www.asse.org for more information.
