Study Details Common Teen Driving Errors in Serious Crashes

Posted in on Fri, Apr 29, 2011

The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and State Farm Insurance Companies ® have published a study that identifies the most common errors teen drivers make leading to serious crashes.  The study found a virtual tie among the top three errors –

  • Lack of scanning needed to detect and respond to hazards.
  • Driving too fast for road conditions (for example, driving too fast to respond to others, or to navigate a curve).
  • Distracted driving.
