NIOSH Announces New Lead for PtD Program

I am pleased to announce that Pamela Heckel has taken the position as temporary Coordinator of the Prevention through Design (PtD Program). Pamela has a Doctorate in Civil Engineering and Masters of Architecture from the University of Cincinnati, a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Purdue University, and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Vanderbilt University. Before joining the PtD Program in 2010, she worked for General Electric, The Boeing Company, and the Chicago Bridge & Iron Company. Pamela will serve in this temporary position and eventually a position will be posted for a permanent Coordinator. We expect that Pamela will continue to move the PtD Initiative forward and with your help continue its impact.
