New OSHA Spanish Translations of Intro to OSHA for Outreach Training Program
From OSHA’s Directorate of Cooperative and State Programs –
OSHA has issued Spanish translations of the “Introduction to OSHA” component of its Outreach Training Program curriculum. This two-hour training component emphasizes workers’ rights and is required content in every 10- and 30-hour OSHA Construction, General Industry, and Maritime Outreach Training Program class. The “Introduction to OSHA” materials include a slide presentation and a set of handouts, all now available in English and Spanish.
OSHA’s Outreach Training Program is a voluntary program that includes a national network of more than 17,000 independent trainers who teach workers and employers about OSHA, workers’ rights, and how to identify, avoid and prevent workplace hazards. The 10-hour class is intended for entry level workers, while the 30-hour class is more appropriate for supervisors or workers with some safety responsibility. Through this training, OSHA helps to ensure that workers are more knowledgeable about workplace hazards and their rights, and contribute to our nation’s productivity.
