New Cal OSHA Chief

Various media sources are reporting that Governor Jerry Brown has appointed Ellen Widess to head California’s Division of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) beginning April 15th.  Ms. Widess oversaw the Division’s pesticide program from the late 1970s to the early 1980s.  She takes over from current Chief Len Welsh, who has run Cal OSHA since 2003.
