FMCSA Direct Final Rule Requires ABS External Malfunction Indicator Lamps

FMCSA has issued a direct final rule making permanent the existing requirement in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSRs) that trailers with antilock brake systems (ABS) be equipped with an external malfunction indicator lamp. This rule is effective November 22, 2010, unless an adverse
