Platform Statement

I am honored to be considered for the Region VII Vice President position and welcome the opportunity to continue serving our profession. I will apply the knowledge gained from best practices in previous leadership positions to mentor and support chapter leadership and drive success in the region.

Open communication and teamwork is necessary for the success of any organization. If elected I will strive to keep Region VII Chapter Leadership and Members informed of regional and society affairs. It is through this awareness that our membership may develop a better understanding of the inner works of the Society. With increasing focus on the future, it is imperative that chapters share best practices, engage their members, and mentor both students and young professionals to help ensure the longevity of sections, chapters, regions and the Society.

There will be challenges in the upcoming term. I will encourage chapters to seek assistance when facing difficult tasks and motivate members to provide input on decisions that need to be made to overcome the challenges presented. It is important that the region works collaboratively to ensure that decisions are made in the best interest of all membership.

I am excited about the opportunity to work with the volunteers of Region VII. If elected I will do everything in my power to represent Region VII membership effectively and with great commitment to the future of the profession.
