Overview
The Senior Vice President chairs the Council on Member/Region Affairs. This is a very important position in the Society and succeeds to President-Elect and President in subsequent years.
The Vice President of Finance is a member of the Society's Executive Committee and chairs the Finance Committee. The Vice President of Practices & Standards chairs the Council on Practices & Standards. The Vice President of Professional Affairs chairs the Council on Professional Affairs. The Vice President on Professional Development chairs the Council on Professional Development.
Nomination Deadlines/Procedures
Nominations for Society Offices for the positions of Senior Vice President, Vice President-Finance, Vice President-Practices and Standards, Vice President-Professional Development and Vice-President are due at Society Headquarters by August 15 prior to the next Society Election.
Nominations for offices of Regional Vice Presidents and Area Directors are due to the Regional Nominating Committee by their publicized deadline. Nominations are due into Society Headquarters from the Regional Nominating Committee by November 1st prior to the Society Election.

Petition Process
Society Bylaws also allow interested individuals who are not nominated by the Nominations & Elections Committee to petition for inclusion on the election ballot. Petition candidates must meet all qualifications for the office they seek, plus provide a petition with a specific number of signatures as outlined in Bylaws Article VII, Section 4, and Section 6.31, Article IX of the Society Operations Guide. The specific number of signatures for positions to be elected is available annually by November 1.
Ballot Information
All members will be sent an electronic ballot and can vote online. Members who want to receive a mail ballot must request one by January 1.
