Platform Statement

I want to say thank you to all safety professionals who work tirelessly 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to protect employees, relatives, and friends and allow everyone to go safely home to their families each and every day.  I am humbled by my nomination and would be honored to serve you and Region VII as Regional Vice President.  The opportunity to hear from all of you about how we can truly serve you, our membership, and provide you with the networking, educational, and professional development resources you desire is of the upmost importance to me.

I would start by leveraging my leadership and listening skills to enhance communication and the utilization of technology platforms to enhance chapter meetings, communications, and share relevant best practices.  Strong Chapters and Student Sections are important to provide you with knowledge and relevant information and my job would be to help ensure that this is happening.

We must provide educational opportunities and relevant learning opportunities that improve all of us and the safety profession starting at the Student Section and all the way to Region VII’s Regional Operating Committee.  We must mentor and develop our students to equip them with the skills and expertise to develop into outstanding safety professionals.

We will not be afraid to try new things, set aggressive goals, or seek feedback as we strive to make Region VII and ASSE a sustainable, world class, and member centered safety organization dedicated to enhancement of safety professionals around the globe, while providing leadership on safety issues of concern now and in the future.

I am committed to utilizing my passion and enthusiasm toward the safety profession to provide you with a return on your investment and provide you the opportunity to grow, lead, and improve ASSE.
